As it continues its work with road safety partnerships across the north west, Tangerine PR is working alongside social media sister agency Juice Digital to create a multi-layered campaign for DriveSafe.

The campaign will aim to appeal to both on-and-off-line audiences as it looks to highlight the increasing numbers of pedestrian injuries and deaths being caused by inattention, particularly due to the rise in hand held entertainment systems such as iPods and smart phones.

The campaign will begin with a competition aimed at college students around Greater Manchester and will be followed later on by an interactive roadshow.

Malin Cunningham, director at Tangerine PR, commented: “Pedestrians are often overlooked when it comes to road safety communications, with the bulk of the activity generally focused around drivers and bikers. The brief has given us a great opportunity to create something new and exciting from scratch and raise awareness of an increasingly worrying issue.”
