The new look for Bolton College, ahead of the launch of its new £70m campus development, has been developed by Wash.

The Preston design consultancy has been working on the new look for the last six months, with part of the project involving the design of the new School Leavers Course Guide 2011/2012 prospectus.

Photography for the prospectus was provided by Adrian Rey, with illustrations supplied by Al Heighton, which were created to present the different subjects on offer at the College.

Andy Walmsley, creative director for Wash said that the agency has wanted to work with Heighton for a while.

"Al's visual language really represented want we wanted to get across in the brand,” he continued to explain.

“There are many facets to Bolton College, not always easy to get across in just words or photography for that matter. Al's style and approach to his work helped us get that across in a fresh, approachable and optimistic way."
