Seven Seas is returning to TV screens with a £2.3m campaign for its Pure Cod Liver Oil brand. Watch it here.

The 30 second spot, created by Seven Seas' lead ad agency TBWA\Manchester, marks the brand's first TV appearance since 2005.

It shows Steve, an average bloke whose body transforms into a 'mini temple of worship' after taking Cod Liver Oil.

The ad is now airing during prime time slots on ITV, Channel 4, Channel Five and S4C. It is part of a campaign which also includes press, point of sale and PR activity.

Sarah Day, marketing manager for Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil and JointCare, said: "We believe our brand investment creates opportunities for retailers to achieve significant returns within this category, by highlighting the benefits of Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil.”

Seven Seas appointed TBWA\Manchester in the summer after ending its 25-year relationship with Leeds agency Principles.

Fergus McCallum, CEO at TBWA\Manchester said: “Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil is a really well known brand name, but it hasn’t been on our TV screens for more than five years and so we knew we had to make sure the advert captured the public’s imagination and made an impact.

We needed a new and engaging concept that would tap into modern consumer needs as well as dovetail with the brand campaign as a whole, and I’m confident we’ve achieved this.”
