The relaunch of upmarket egg brand Clarence Court will be promoted through a new campaign developed by WFCA following the appointment of new marketing director Vicki Hazel.

The range, which includes hen, good, duck, ostrich and pheasant eggs will be distributed by Asda, Morrisons and Sainbury’s, as well as Harrods, Selfridges and Fortum and Mason foodhalls.

The brief handed to WFCA was to develop a campaign for the brand which would communicate the superior taste of its products to a sophisticated audience.

Launching this month, the campaign will support the newly designed packaging and new website, featuring recipes and video content from celebrity ambassador for the brand, Mark Hix.

PR agency 84 Buckingham Road will handle PR for the brand and promote its credentials within consumer press.

Vicki Hazel, explained: “I wanted to move Clarence Court on from a farming brand to a foodie brand as our eggs are the best tasting eggs on the market. The advertising is stunning and shows our eggs aren’t from the average free range hen and will taste better as a result. There is also some nervousness around useage of speciality egg so education on the website and in PR is key to our campaign. Mark Hix will add premium foodie credentials to our brand and, with his seasonal knowledge, will ensure our recipies are spot on for the time of year.”
