Cash Converters has appointed its first head of marketing with the appointment of former Littlewoods clearance marketing boss, Richard Livesey.

Livesey, who previously held the short term role of internal communications manager, having also run his own marketing company Brand Hyphen for a year-and-a-half, held the role of marketing manager at Littlewoods Clearance between 2005 and 2009.

He has also worked in marketing for high street retailer Allsports, and will now have overall responsibility for the marketing strategy at Cash Converters, working alongside chief executive, David Patrick to develop the brand’s profile.

The company currently has over 170 stores across the UK.

Livesey explained: “I wanted to get back into working at the sharp end of retailing and missed being part of a team. I’d worked with Cash Converters chief executive, David Patrick when I was head of marketing and communications at Allsports, so I when I heard about this opportunity, I was keen to hear from him first hand.

“After speaking with David it was clear to me that Cash Converters is a dynamic brand with huge potential for expansion in the future. I also visited some stores in my local area and was impressed by the passion for the business shown by the staff. It really is great for me to come into the business at such an exciting time in its growth.”
