In The City gets Young branding and illustration

Manchester agency Young has worked on the branding and illustration for this year's In The City festival campaign.

The annual music industry conference takes place in Manchester in October, and Young's work will be seen on 48 and 6-sheet posters around Greater Manchester from today.

This year's campaign focuses on the turmoil the music industry faces in this digital day and age.

The design features a reincarnated butterfly made out of a broken vinyl record bearing the line: 'That That Don't Kill Me Can Only Make Me Stronger'.

In The City's chief operating officer, Philip Coen, said: "[Young] managed to distil the essence of our vision for In The City and marry that with the present turmoil within the global music industry.

"The result was an image that really encapsulated the theme of this year's event''.
