There'll be no love lost at Fallowfield in Manchester tonight as an England media team takes on a Scottish media team in a footballing clash of the titans.

Organised by England team captaion Neil Griffiths of Wilmslow-based advertising agency Driven and Scotland team captain Steve Antoniewicz of the Recommended Agency Register, it is understood that Greater Manchester Police have laid on even stricter security measures than they did for this week's Man Utd vs Rangers clash to ensure that the so called 'industry friendly' doesn't descend into anarchy.

Both team captains were keeping their teams sheets very close to their chests when The Drum contacted them earlier today, but a leak within the England team's dressing has revealed that players for England have been drawn from companies including Mediacom, Brilliant, Channel 4, Media Vest, The TV Dept and Driven.

It is understood that the Scotland team has been ravaged by last minute injuries, but Scotland team captain Antoniewicz has been very active in the transfer market and has managed to cobble together a squad made up of players from McCann Erickson, IAS B2B, The Gate, Multiply, ACB, Robot Create, Tayburn, The Drum and RAR.

Speaking of the clash Antoniewicz said: "It's been a tough week keeping my crack squad fit, but come kick-off time we'll be up for the battle head. I have a few spies within the England camp and to be honest if Griffiths think they have what it takes to beat us then he's a misguided fool. I've heard that they plan to try and rough us up and go in hard, but if they come with those tactics they will get short shrift, we'll give as good as we get."

Speaking from the treatment table where he was having a hamstring massage (not because he was injured but because he just enjoys having his thighs massaged) a confident Griffiths said: "When I saw the Scotland team I have to say I had a chuckle, it's a shambles. The squad I have assembled I have to say is one of the most professional outfits I have ever worked with. My lads want to win tonight and during training have been a real cohesive unit, showing energy and flair that would impress Jose Mourinho. I'm confident come 8.45 tonight the England team will be celebrating and those miserable Jocks will be drowning their sorrows in a few hundred bottles of Buckfast."

Tensions among supporters of tonight's team is running high, but like one young football fan told BBC North West tonight earlier this week, Griffiths and Antoniewicz hope that "every c**t will get along with eachother."

If you want to go along and watch the carnage then the action starts at 7pm at the Armitage Centre, Fallowfield.

A full match report will follow.
