Lloyds TSB is set to rebrand to become Lloyds Bank, with most of its branches and products operating under the title by the end of 2013.

Lloyds Banking Group is currently changing its brand strategy as it aim to reflect the disposal of a part of its business through the TSB brand.

Neither Halifax or Bank of Scotland – which have themselves recently seen their own brands altered to separate the two having previously operated as HBOS – will be unaffected by the move, as will the marketing department of Lloyds TSB.

Graham Lindsay, managing director of customer experience for Lloyds Banking Group, explained that the announcement was the first step in the company’s ‘planned journey’ towards the new Lloyds bank brand.

“We are introducing the new brand on a phased basis over the course of the next few years. This minimises disruption to our customers and ensures that we make the change in the most cost effective way possible,” he added.
