Pork sausages will be at the ready when the Yorkshire Publicity Association holds its next networking and social event later this month.

Instead of backing thoroughbred racehorses, greyhounds or whippets, punters will be betting on pigs as the YPA hosts a Pig Racing Night.

Races, which will be contested by mechanical pigs as opposed to real life porkers, are being sponsored by The Drum, CBS Outdoor, Radio Aire, OK Karaoke and the Consiton Hotel.

Prizes can be won for each of the night's eight races and there will also be on-site Tote betting, free sausage (pork of course) and chips, plus drinks promos all night. Prizes kindly donated by CBS Outdoor,

Coniston Hotel, The Drum, OK Karaoke and Radio Aire.

The Pig racing Night takes place at the Northern Monkey Pub on Thursday 30 September, doors open at 6pm, with the first race starting at 6.30pm. The event is free for anyone from media, marketing and online agencies based in Yorkshire, but email registration is required by email.
