AYO Media develops Sportpool website

A fast-tracked web project for gambling firm Sportpool has been completed by AYO Media, to raise funds for Wallsend Boys Club.

The Tyneside digital agency designed and developed the website for Sportpool which combines live sporting events, fundraising and prediction-based competitions created in the style of the sports pools.

The site allows members to predict six upcoming sporting results with 20 per cent of the profits going to charities and causes, nominated by the players.

The newly launched site is fully compliant with the UK Gambling Commission’s licensing regulations.

“We have high hopes for the concept and are expecting it to increase in popularity and raise lots of money for good causes,” commented Alan Thompson, director of Sportpool.

AYO Media was approach in May about handling the project, which saw the agency’s development team conceive, contract and deliver the web application within three months.
