Sale Sharks looks to If for new season campaign

Rugby side Sale Sharks has is to launch a campaign by The if Agency, featuring player Andrew Sheridan, as the club aims to position itself as ‘the home of rugby union in the North West’.

The campaign by the Altrincham agency will begin to run around the first game of the new Aviva Premiership season against Newcastle Falcons on 3 September.

Meanwhile, a number of the team’s key matches will also be promoted through out the year, through the theme ‘We are Sale Sharks’.

The campaign will run across national and regional press, direct mail, online and community based activities to engage with rugby fans in the region.

Mick Hogan, chief executive of Sale Sharks, explained: “We wanted to launch with a creative that would cause excitement and a bit of a stir ahead of the new season. Andrew Sheridan’s return to full fitness is certainly a cause for great anticipation and expectation amongst our supporters.”
