Digital group 20:20 has appointed Wayne Deakin as creative director for its offices in Bristol and Swindon.

Deakin, who started his career in Australia, joins from Bath-based design agency Kerve where he was creative director.

He has previously worked with the likes of Nike, Guinness and the Sydney Olympics at agencies including Saatchi's, Leo Burnett, Carlson and George Patterson Bates.

In his new role Deakin will work with clients such as Santander, Nivea and United Biscuits, reporting to managing partner Laith Clark.

Deakin told The Drum: “What attracted me was that I’ve always been an above-the-line creative and I’d got frustrated with dealing with traditional media. What’s most important with a great concept is the best place for that concept to live - whether that’s a Facebook campaign, an app, eCRM…

“And these guys are really on board about the future of digital and how you can reach people through digital channels. That’s what attracted me to the position, and there’s a nice mix of talent - really hardcore developers and good creative, design guys.”

20:20's Bristol and Swindon offices were previously known as Inbox and Hyperlaunch before being rebranded along with the rest of the Digital Marketing Group agencies earlier this year.
