The inaugural UK Event Awards nominations have now been revealed.

Awards nominations show creativity and expertise of UK Events sector

As events become an increasing part of a company's marketing strategy, allowing marketers to directly reach and engage with their audience, these awards are a chance for event organisers, promoters, venues and industry suppliers to compete on a national scale.

Whether they’ve staged a hugely successful annual event, launched a brand new one, or created a unique, never-to-be-repeated experience, this is a chance to show the impact of their activity.

Chairman of the judges, head of the COI's Live Events, Simon Hughes, said: "Recognising and sharing outstanding examples of live event activity is an integral part of promoting the creativity and expertise that the UK events industry brings to the complex marketing communications world we now live in. There is nothing better than live and these awards are a great way of promoting that fact."

Judging took place in London in early August and the panel included: Andy Lenthall, PSA; Cameron Day, Iris Worldwide; Froniga Creissen, Southbank Centre; John Tasker, Cancer Research UK; Cecilie Meyer Reber, ITV; Simon Hughes, COI Live Events; Rick Stainton, Symle; and Claire Smith of Vancover Convention Centre.

The final results will be announced at the black tie awards ceremony on 28 October in Manchester.
