The National Grid has appointed Cheshire agency Origin Creative to design and produce its annual corporate responsibility summary report.

It will feature sections about the company's operational performance, corporate governance and climate change and will be produced in print and as a PDF for the National Grid's website.

Ian Gearing, head of corporate responsibility at National Grid, said: “We selected Origin following a rigorous selection process, clearly demonstrating their experience of producing these reports, as well as an understanding of our needs.

"Our CR report is a window into National Grid’s corporate responsibility policies and activities, and is a vital tool to communicate with all our audiences.”

Mark Bottomley, Origin’s managing director, added: “The report will be designed to communicate National Grid’s key messages to a broad audience – from investors and NGOs through to academics and members of the public. Energy is very high up people’s agenda, so a great win for us and a resounding endorsement of our skills.”
