Weber Shandwick North has been given a "six-figure" local PR brief for The Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels that are part of the LRG group.

The Manchester agency has been tasked to "drive revenue generating PR for each of the 64 hotels" owned by LRG.

So its regional campaigns could, for instance, encourage local businesses, groups or clubs to convene at the hotels.

The agency said it would tell "individual hotel stories" and "engage local communities" about the facilties on their doorstep.

It will also handle charity campaigns with Great Ormond Street Hospital and a Christmas "media engagement" campaign.

LRG's Tamara Strauss said: “The team at Weber Shandwick are pro-active and enthusiastic, two fundamentals that I look for in a PR agency. I have no doubt that they will take the challenging brief we have set and make a real impact within the estate.”
