Glasgow-based creative and arts groups NVA and Central Station have teamed up with Landshare and the River Cottage to launch twEATs, a live Twitter cook-along.

The project is part of Glasgow Harvest 2010 – a "celebration of Urban growing". River Cottage and Landshare were identified as perfect partners, with their emphasis on growing your own and local produce.

Twitterers can join head chef Tim Maddams on 16 August to cook a River Cottage recipe with him live from his base at the River Cottage Store and Canteen in Axminster. Each stage of the recipe will be tweeted (with photos) as it happens.

Central Station will be giving away a limited edition run of an illustrated twEATS recipe pamphlet at the Glasgow Harvest on the 28 August.
