Do you have an old Glasgow Pub Club golf trophy stashed away in your loft? Have you seen the wooden lecturn that used to used at its monthly meetings? The hunt is now on for the Pub Club of Glasgow's lost memorabilia.

The pair are aiming to bring together the memorabilia with a view to potentially holding an exhibition to mark the Publicity Club of Glasgow's 85th anniversary next year.

Items that they are particularly looking to track down include a wooden lecturn and a number of golf trophies which include the jimmy Hastie Putter and the George Rex Stewart Trophy. It is also believed that there may be numerous photo collections dating back to the 1920's and a 65th anniversary video are also out there somewhere.

At it's height the Publicity Club of Glasgow held a monthly media lunch in the city which was attended by more than 100 people. The Pub Club's Christmas dinner was also legendary, regularly attracting more than 600 people. The Publicity Club's first ever meeting was held at the Central Hotel in Glasgow, which is just about to be re-opened after a major renovation.

Speaking of the hunt Fraser said: "We know that all of these trophies are out there in the industry somewhere and we would be keen to bring them all together again so that we can mark the 85th anniversary. No doubt these trophies and things have been stuck away in cupboards and lost and forgotten about, so I would ask everyone who has ever been involved in the Publicity Club has a look around for anything that they might have and let us know about it."

If you have a Publicity Club of Glasgow trophy or item of memorabilia lurking under your stairs or in your loft then please contact Alan Fraser by email to arrange collection.
