News International is set to start charging for online content through The Times website tomorrow when its pay wall takes effect.

From tomorrow, non-subscribers to the print editions of either The Times or The Sunday Times will charge readers £1 a day to access its website, or £2 for access for a week.

An introductory offer will be made available to new subscribers who can gain access for 30 days at the cost of £1.

The iPad version of the site will continue to cost £9.99 a month.

News International recently redeveloped both sites for The Times and The Sunday Times to handle the pay wall.
