Nominations for this year's Scottish Event Awards have now been revealed.

The Awards are the only annual scheme that reward and celebrate all areas of the thriving events industry in Scotland. Now in its third year, The Scottish Event Awards are going from strength-to-strength, with event organisers, promoters, in house-teams, venues and suppliers all entered the awards, and the judging taking place in London last week.

The judging panel was chaired by Izania Downie, CEO of Eventia. Joining her were Alison Wills, Confex Group; Zoe Watts, head of events and catering, The Natural History Museum; Rick Stainton, managing director, Smyle; Dennis Hagerty, parade marshal, New York Tartan Day; and John Sachs, chairman, Variety Club.

The results will be be revealed at the gala awards ceremony being held on Thursday 9 September at the new Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. This fantastic new venue is set to open in September following a £20m refurbishment. Dating back to 1883, the Grand Central Hotel has a long history of hosting prestigious events and the Scottish Event Awards will be one of the very first events to take place at the newly refurbished building.
