The Rebels with a Cause from McCann Erickson Birmingham have made it home from their week-long 2400 mile charity motorbike journey around Europe and beaten their intended fund-raising target in the process.

The rebels, made up of McCann Birmingham CEO Dean Lovett, Stu Perry and Jamie Heath, returned to their offices in Shirley outside Birmingham yesterday afternoon before 3pm, two hours ahead of schedule, having raised £11,000 for charity.

The three left on Harley Davidsons on Monday morning and travelled through seven countries; the UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, attending the Cannes advertising festival along the way.

Originally they set the target of raising £10,000 for the Marie Curie hospice in Solihull having decided to undertake the task following the diagnosis of their colleague, Neil Rodgers who is undergoing treatment for cancer.

The guys even managed to stop and catch the England v Slovenia game while travelling through France.

Anyone who is looking to make a donation to their cause can still do so through visiting www.justgiving.com/7-5-1-charityroadtrip
