RBH senior creative pairing Paul Brookes and Nigel Thomas have left the Midlands agency after 11 years.

The pair say they are moving on from the Meriden agency, where they have been responsible for much of its high-profile work, to pursue "freelance opportunities and other projects".

Art director Brookes and copywriter Thomas worked on the agency's launches of shopping centres Bullring Birmingham and Highcross Leicester, and many of its Church End Brewery campaigns.

The pair have picked up more than 40 industry awards including gongs at last year's Cream Awards (pictured).

Brookes said: "It’s been great at RBH, but we’ve been there for a very long time. Now we just need a change and we’re looking forward to a fresh challenge.”

Paul Bennison, RBH's head of business development, said the agency wished Brookes and Thomas "all the luck in the world" and that they would stay in touch.

He said: "Paul Brookes and Nigel Thomas have been with RBH for nigh on twelve years. During that time we have enjoyed every minute of their relentless commitment and indisputable talent.

"But, the boys felt becoming 'part of the furniture' was not conducive to being creatively challenging so it was time to move on.

"In the meantime we have recruited some fresh young talent in the shape of Ash Humby and Ben Woolwich as junior creative team together with Rob Hemus as designer and Mark Butcher as digital designer. These bright young guys join creative heads: Mike Kalin, Stu Jackson,Richard Newell and Paul Ray."
