Glasgow City Council is set to tender a framework agreement with a value of up to £5 million for the provision of marketing and promotional goods.

The framework will see the procurement department of the City Council established a framework for partner organisations; City Building, City Markets LLP, City Park LLP, Cordia LLP, Culture & Sport Glasgow, Glasgow Community & Safety Services, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, City Property LLP and Access LLP over a 24-month period, with a potential extension of period of another 24 months.

The contract is advertising as having an estimated cost of between £4 million and £5 million and will be separated into 22 lots.

The lots are for the provision of promotional items, t-shirts with logos, trophies and medals with logos, banners, flags and event displays, banners and flags to dress the city, graphic design for destination marketing, graphic design for public awareness, graphic design for events and exhibitions, graphic design for arts, graphic design for venues and attractions, graphic design for sports and fitness, graphic design for children and young people, graphic design for basic design requirements and graphic design services for corporate identity and materials.

The other lots within the framework are for the provision of qualitative / deliberate engagement research services, provision of qualitative research, provision of household survey research, the provision of research for evaluation purposes, the provision of economic development research, the provision of human resource research, the provision of community research and consultation and the provision of photography.

The current annual value of the contract is stated as being between £1 million and £1,250,000, but due to budget cuts and the existing strategy ‘to make best use of internal resources to deliver services’ the value has not been guaranteed.

Ranked suppliers will be appointed to each lot, with the exception of the Household survey framework, which will be handed to one supplier.

The council may also hold mini competitions to make project appointments.

E-sourcing portal Bravo Solution will be used by the Council for tender submissions, which should be submitted by 17 July.
