Post-production house, Editworks, has opened its new company – Editworks Scotland – in Glasgow.

Editworks post-produces a host of well-known TV programmes, including Who Wants to be a Millionaire and its new Glasgow facility will post-produce quiz show Eggheads, In It To Win It, and Who Dares Wins, as well as other programmes made in Scotland.

The firm will take 1,732 sq.ft. at the waterfront building in Glasgow, joining other high-profile creative organisations including Shed Media and The Digital Design Studio.

Editworks Scotland’s new facility will offer six Avid editing suites, audio post and colour grading.

The firm's expansion is a "major commitment" to Glasgow and will see it forging links with local production companies as well as providing employment and training to local talent.

Editworks Scotland’s vice chairman, Graham Hutchings, said: “This is a very big investment for us, and we are able to do so with new private investment. We’re all very excited about the opening of our new facility at The Hub. We love the space and proximity to the local broadcast community.

“We’re also looking forward to forging very close links with production and local media companies."

Editworks Scotland will formally launch in the late summer.
