GO Mammoth has launched in London with the help of Bristol-based digital agency Beef.

The sports and social club has chosen Wandsworth to set up its UK base before rolling the concept out across London and the rest of the UK. The club takes its influence from the Chicago Sport and Social Club, the biggest club of its kind in the world, and offers a range of sports leagues and socials for people who want to play and meet new friends without the competitiveness and commitment of joining a specialist club.

Despite only appointing the agency in March, GO Mammoth’s managing director Luke Mohr stressed it was crucial that everything was completed in time for launch during the all important summer window. “I needed an agency that I could trust to deliver the quality within a tight timeframe – Beef certainly rose to the challenge and the result is pretty unique.”

Beef designed and developed the new site to launch GO Mammoth, with spawtz.com working on a bespoke booking and league management tool. Beef was also responsible for creating staff and player t-shirts as well as offline marketing material.

Beef creative director Ben Hostler said of the venture: “This has been an exciting and challenging project. Luke had a clear vision for the site and bringing that to life has been a lot of fun. There are other clubs like this out there but the vision for GO Mammoth was to make something fresh, engaging and different – I think we’ve achieved that.”
