NME Radio moves to online broadcast only
NME Radio will no longer broadcast through digital radio or satellite channels Sky, Virgin or Freesat TV, although it will continue to broadcast online.
The move is a result of the termination of the contract of DX Media, the company which operated the rock and indie music station, by its owners IPC Media.
Paul Cheal, publishing director for NME, said the station would look to develop how its audience could engage with both audience and visual content through its in-house facilities.
NME Radio launched as a 24 hour music service in 2008 after regional trials on DAB in London and Manchester proved a success.
