Marketing agency Robson Brown has transformed Newcastle phone boxes into Tardises to promote a Doctor Who exhibition in the city.

The Newcastle agency worked with poster contractor JC Decaux to turn the phone boxes into the Doctor's familiar blue time machine.

They have installed 11 one-sided Tardis fronts to phone boxes around the city centre, with one three-sided Tardis, including a roof-light, located opposite Newcastle Central Station.

The Doctor Who exhibition runs until the end of October at the Centre For Life and features monsters, props and costumes from the hit BBC show.

Robson Brown media director Peter Aldcroft (pictured, with Tardis) said: "We were delighted to be asked by the Centre for Life to produce an eye-catching campaign to support their exhibition. The iconic Tardis is widely recognised and transforming telephone boxes around the city has proved to be a great success.

"The Doctor Who exhibition welcomed over 4,000 visitors across the opening weekend, which is fantastic. The creative team here at Robson Brown have done an outstanding job and we are very pleased with the results."
