Phil Dean, former managing director of Thompson Brand Partners, has joined Communisis as its managing director of creative services.

Dean left Thompson in January this year after six years, with Nick Ramshaw taking over as managing director.

He had previously headed up the UK office of Attik and had held the position of creative director at PFB before that.

He will now be based at the Leeds office of Communisis.

Gurdev Singh, managing director of Direct Channels at Communisis, said: “The creative element is crucial to the success of any campaign we produce, so to welcome a man of Phil’s experience to the team is a great move for the company.

"While it’s the data side of our business that provides the cornerstone of all our intelligence driven communications, Phil’s expertise will give us a unique edge in our capability to manage every aspect of the content from white paper/screen and provide conceptual innovation to our clients.”

Dean added: “I don’t need to emphasise just how huge a business Communisis is, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for me to bring my brand building expertise to the table. The business is already producing some hugely advanced campaigns for a great roster of clients, so I look forward to working with a great creative hub in Leeds to take this work to an even higher standard.”
