The Gate Films' Mark Jewitt has been shortlisted at the annual Young Director Award ceremony in Cannes for his cinema campaign about cocaine dangers.

Jewitt is in the top five in the European broadcast category for the 'Know The Score' cinema campaign he shot for The Leith Agency. The ad, which you can see below, encourages youngsters to think twice before taking cocaine.

The Young Director Award is a fringe event to Cannes Lions and has promoted new international creative talent in commercial film production since 1998. Jewitt will find out if he has won at a ceremony in Cannes on 23 June.

The Award jury is presided by François Chilot, president of the Young Director Award, as well as the Commercial Film Producers of Europe (CFP-E). The jury panel includes industry professionals such as Lyndy Stout, editor at large of Shots magazine, as well as several members of the CFP-E.
