D8 has been tasked with re-working Scotland Food & Drink’s corporate website and helping improve how the food and drink industry uses information, insight and collaboration to engage its target audiences.

D8’s appointment comes on the back of recent projects with Belhaven and McGhee’s Bakery.

Scotland Food & Drink is a member-led organisation seeking to establish Scotland’s reputation as ‘A Land of Food and Drink’. It aims to guide food and drink companies of all sizes towards increased profitability and grow the industry from £10bn to £12.5bn by 2017. It relies heavily on its website as a channel and resource to serve its members and the wider industry.

“It’s imperative that we have a functional, informative and aesthetically pleasing website,” said Anna Davies, Scotland Food & Drink’s communications and marketing manager. “Our experience of working with D8 in the past, as well as its folio of past and present work, convinced us it’s the right agency for the job. Timing is always crucial for these projects and we felt reassured that D8 could meet our tight deadlines.”

Mark Jennings, managing director of D8’s digital team, said: “I love what Scotland Food & Drink does and to win this appointment is very close to my heart. I have been involved with the food and drink industry for many years and this project is right at the heart of the action. Our team are all very proud to have been asked.”
