Creditors meeting called for Leeds agency Ripe

Rumours circulating about the closure of graphic design and marketing consultancy Ripe, which has offices in Leeds, London, Bahrain, Cape Town and Abu Dhabi, have been strengthened with the announcement of a creditors meeting being called by the company.

The Drum had been contacted by several sources and informed that the agency was facing ‘problems’, a claim with was strengthened with the company’s phone line in Leeds ringing out during numerous attempts.

Rumours have also reached The Drum that the creation of ‘a phoenix operation’ was being attempted.

A credit report from Credit Safe on 19 May highlighted that a creditors meeting had been called, with the most recent figures being filed on 30/09/2008.

According to Credit Safe, the company’s previous credit worthiness status on 15/10/2009 was however, ‘very good’.

On contacting Alex Murray, CEO of Ripe Design, he said that he did not wish to comment to the press and felt no need to explain the status of the company.
