Dunfermline Press Group chief exec Romanes dies

The Dunfermline Press Group has released a statement announcing the death of its chief executive Deirdre Romanes.

The simple statement said that Romanes, aged 60, died this morning following ‘a long and courageous battle with illness.’

The company was founded in 1859 by the Romanes family and includes Dunfermline Press and the Alloa & Hillfoots Advertisers among its group titles as well as the Clyde & Forth Press, which has the Greenock Telegraph and the Clydebank Post among others in its stable.
