Manchester creative agency Raw Design Studio has relaunched the image of Cheshire based Sabbath Bicycles as they prepare for international expansion.

Sabbath and its innovation consultant, Alastair Curtis, set out a brief to align marketing materials and reinforce Sabbaths’ existing strapline: ‘Believe in the Extraordinary’.

Raw Design Studio suggested developing new materials using conceptual digital artist Andrew Brooks to create a visual focus. Using Andrew’s specialist technique, each image comprised of approximately 60 photos.

Greg Roche, MD of Sabbath said: “Raw Design Studio’s work has given us greater clarity with how we wanted to develop the brand as a whole. Their suggestion of using strong visuals has pulled together a cohesive brand identity, which is sure to stand us in good stead going forward. “

Steve Taylor, MD at Raw, added: “A strong visual element made sense, and enabled us to transcending language barriers and infer technological innovation and passion. Andrew Brooks’ breathtaking shots brought the clean, simple and inspiring content of the marketing material to life.”

Raw worked with Curtis and Sabbath to employ the same images, fonts, colours and visual elements across media, with re-packaged brochures, in-store POS and print advertising material all developed using the photography.

Curtis, a former chief designer at Nokia, said: “To many riding a bike is much more than a mode of transportation, it’s an obsession, a never ending journey to innovate, create and experience a truly extraordinary ride. As a result, our philosophy was to harness pioneering spirit and performance all within the new identity.”
