Former Curious Group and Big Picture senior designer Kerr Vernon has launched his own Glasgow-based design studio.

Trading under his own name, Vernon has over 12 years senior level agency experience. He has produced branding, digital design and printed marketing materials for clients such as NESTA, Glenmorangie, Stewart Milne Group, Edinburgh College of Art, The University of Aberdeen and The Hunter Foundation.

His design work for the Central Scotland Forest Trust was shortlisted at last year’s Roses Design awards and the Scottish Design Awards.

Vernon explained his move: “Smart clients know their budgets can go a lot further by commissioning experienced individuals for a project. I can offer a stripped down, modular service. If clients need planning or back-end database development it’s all there and they simply pay for what’s needed.”

Vernon’s most recent project was a 28 page mini-guide booklet for Harper Adams University College. Based in Shropshire it specialises in farming and agricultural studies.
