Peppered Sprout understood to have ceased trading

Industry speculation in Liverpool is suggesting that Peppered Sprout has closed its doors.

The design company, formed in 2004, has been the subject of industry rumours claiming its doors have closed since last week.

When The Drum attempted to check the authenticity of the rumours with directors Chris Morris and Peter Kellett this morning the agency’s main telephone number was “temporarily out of order” - as it has been since last week. An email sent to Peppered Sprout last week has also gone unanswered.

Today Peppered Sprout’s website has given way to a holding page which claims the site is “currently under maintenance but we will be back very soon”. Whether it will return in its old guise, which appeared operational until last week, remains unclear.

The agency has worked on projects for clients including JD Sports and Timberland.
