Designed in Sheffield, the self-proclaimed 'world's greatest design company' has launched a logo design competition.

The not-for-profit venture, which aims to promote greater collaboration between design disciplines in Sheffield while bringing increased business into the Sheffield city region, is inviting designers from the region to design a new logo that inspires and communicates the vision of Designed in Sheffield.

Entries can come from design companies, individuals, or design students, and the competition runs from 4-19 May.

A panel of renowned designers will judge the entries and select a shortlist, whose work will then be put on display to the public on 28 May. The final winner will be announced at an event on 7 June

Designs must communicate an identity and the work should comprise of a logo, a font family, a colour scheme, and a written description of the thinking behind the design.

Anyone interested in entering the competition should register, and ensure their work is submitted by email by 12pm 19 May at the latest.
