It's a fair bet the even if he manages to hold onto his job as Prime Minister, Gordon Brown won't be going to Rochdale again anytime soon. But which newspaper has made the most of this golden front page opportunity?

Gillian Duffy had just popped out to buy some bread but she ended the day appearing on every TV and radio news bulletin in the UK and countless more across the globe. Today she is front page news. A faster rise to fame than even Susan Boyle, you might say.

Every national newspaper leads with this story today, except The Guardian, which splashes on the economic troubles in Greece, relegating Gordon Brown to a front page picture and panel.

Interestingly, The Daily Sport also goes with another story - the Sexy Secrets of Megan Fox, Cheryl Cole and Adriana Lima, demoting Gordon to a small panel at the top of the front page, while the Star goes big on Kerry Katona's secret holidays with Peter Andre, leaving Brown fighting for space on the left of the cover.

So, has this major gaffe derailed Brown's election campaign and shown his true colours or were his comments justified and he was simply unfortunate to have been overheard? And how large a part will today's press coverage have on who ultimately resides in number ten after the election?

Tell us which newspaper in our gallery on the left you think has done the best cover today and why you think so below.
