The Drum's World Cup Wall Chart design competition is approaching its deadline in advance of this summer's festival of football.

Sponsored by Montgomery Litho Group and Eastern Exhibition and Display, the fun brief asks agencies to design a creative, A3 wall planner for the games.

The winning designs will be printed (by MLG) and distributed with The Drum in time for the first match, South Africa v Mexico on 11 June.

The brief is simple. We need you to create a poster (sent to us in a hi-res pdf document) that easily allows fans to follow the games, keeping themselves up to date with the vital scores. The poster can be one or two sided. Full colour. Not being an official sponsor of the world cup, designs cannot use the official branding. It must also include the logos of the two sponsors (MLG and Eastern). And, of course, your logo or URL can be featured too.

Other than that, the ideas are yours. Every football fan will have seen dozens of wall charts, this is your chance to create something different. Simplicity and creativity are two key elements of the brief... But, first and foremost, it must look great on the studio wall.

As well as printing and distributing the winning poster with The Drum magazine, we will also showcase a selection of the entries received.

Deadline for entries is Friday 14 May.

For more information or to submit your completed entry (Print quality PDF's) contact Gordon Laing, deputy editor of The Drum; gordon.laing@carnyx.com
