The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) is stepping up its efforts to oust the club's unpopular owners by challenging United's sponsors to choose between the fans and the Glazer family.
In a statement on its website, MUST addresses sponsors including AON, Budweiser, Audi and Nike and tells them that by doing business with the Glazers they are damaging their brand by association.
In "a message for the companies who have chosen to do business with Malcolm Glazer's 'great franchise'" MUST says:
"More than 150,000 of your potential customers want the Glazers out. Today.
"You're either part of the solution or part of the problem.
"Are you willing to let the Glazers damage your brand the same way they are damaging Manchester United?
"Are you keeping the right company?"
MUST has more than 154,000 members and has already orchestrated the hugely visible green and gold scarves campaign to show their disproval at the Glazers' ownership.
Its bid to catch the eye of United's commercial backers began at Old Trafford on Saturday with a banner on display during the club's match against Tottenham. It demanded of sponsors: 'Time To Choose Sides: The Fans or The Glazers'.

sorry, I'm confused, what has this story got to do with regional marketing?
Sponsorship not a marketing tool anon 11:34?
Fair enough, anon 11.39, it's obviously just a very quiet Monday morning. Still pretty weak though.
