Chaired by John MacKay, Scotland Debates will see leading figures from Scotland's four main parties go head-to-head before a cross-section of voters.

STV will broadcast the hour-long event from 9pm tonight across the whole of Scotland, including the Borders.

At the same time, the event will be streamed worldwide live on the STV website - stv.tv/debate - alongside an interactive online discussion.

The participants in tonight's Scottish debate are Jim Murphy - Labour Scottish secretary, Angus Robertson - SNP Westminster leader, David Mundell - Conservative shadow Scottish secretary and Alistair Carmichael - Liberal Democrat campaign manager.

STV's digital news editor Matt Roper said: "We're pleased to be the only website able to offer both a live stream of the debate and the opportunity for viewers to share their views in an interactive forum. Viewers can share their views with friends using Facebook and Twitter or simply add comments in a live chat."

STV's political team will provide online commentary, while its online team will highlight the key quotes and the best of the debate analysis from across the web. After the debate, STV's political team will be giving instant reaction as the verdicts come in and a full replay of the event will be available at on the STV Player.
