Magnet Trade has appointed Brazen to handle its PR after a competitive pitch.

The Manchester agency will handle all PR and communications for the 180-strong chain which provides fitted kitchens and joinery products for trade professionals.

It will also look after PR for Magnet's Contract Kitchen Solutions divisions, which supplies kitchens to the social housing market.

The announcement represents the first time Magnet Trade has appointed a dedicated PR agency. Brazen already handles PR for the firm's sister retail company, Magnet Kitchens, an account it has held for five years.

"We work very closely with the team on the retail side and look forward to forging the same relationship with the Magnet Trade team and driving through fantastic and strategic results," said Brazen's owner, Nina Webb.

Brazen's brief includes building "strong brand profiles" for each part of the business, and handling product launches, media relations, local marketing, branch opening, exhibition support and creative campaigns.
