Mandate Scotland appoints Deasy as director ahead of growth plans

Mandate Communications, part of Engine Business, has appointed June Deasy as a director within its Scottish office.

Deasy, who joins from London communications consultancy Kreab where she was associate director, will report to Craig Harrow, managing director of Mandate Scotland.

Prior to that, she was public affairs manager and public relations manager at the London headquarters of accountancy body, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and also held the position of deputy head of press & parliamentary affairs at Federation of Small Businesses in Scotland.

She returned to Scotland in May of 2009 where she has been working in a freelance capacity before taking up this role.

Craig Harrow, said: “We opened the Scotland office just twelve months ago and both the team and client base has grown significantly. We’re currently working with a vast range of clients across a number of sectors including energy, retail, transport and property. The Scotland office is currently delivering a full communication consultancy service including public affairs, corporate PR and community relations.

“We have, further, ambitious growth plans for our offering north of the border and June will play a big part of that growth. She is a key hire for us, her significant experience within Holyrood, Westminster and the media adds further strength to our Scottish team.”
