Higher education action group Universities UK has appointed Kindred to promote its pilot campaign aiming to increase awareness of the benefits of universities to the nations economy and culture.

Kindred’s campaign will be used an umbrella activity which will look to unite the higher education sector in the UK, and attract prospective students to attend university, and will also deliver the campaign’s creative identity alongside an integrated PR and social media programme.

The campaign will run between 14-18 June to highlight the achievements of higher education under one banner.

Nigel Semmens, acting director of external relations at Universities UK said: “Higher education and the output from the UK’s universities is often an unsung or unheard success story. This campaign aims to unite the sector for the first time in telling that story on a national, regional and local level. We’re already seeing a great deal of potential support from universities and stakeholders, and with Kindred’s help, are looking forward to building a campaign that has longevity and drives recognition for the important role UK universities play for us all.”
