Brand& picks Origin to work on motorsport brands

Brand&, the licensing and merchandise partner for a host of motorsport brands, has appointed Origin Creative Design after a competitive pitch.

The Cheshire agency's first project will be to create a 76-page brochure showcasing merchandise collections for Aston Martin Racing, AT&T Williams, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team and Citroën Racing.

Matt Casey, the agency's creative director, said: "Brand&’s partners are all global brand icons, and this is a great opportunity to apply our creative thinking in this arena. As a subsidiary of Prodrive their work with some of the best and most exciting motor racing brands means this is a project the whole Origin team are keen to get behind.

"Racing team brands benefit enormously from a successful merchandising strategy and our work with Brand& will help them achieve the same success off the track as on it.”

Origin has experience in the motoring world having previously worked with the likes of Brawn F1, Rally of Scotland and Bentley. Earlier this month it unveiled work to launch Mercedes GP Petronas's teamwear tie in with Henri Lloyd.
