Onitsuka Tiger uses Top Trumps as part of Liquid campaign

A new campaign to promote Onitsuka Tiger basketball shoes has been created by Liquid.

The campaign features a window display in both the London and Liverpool stores, point of sales showcards and especially designed Top Trump cards.

The concept highlights the retro college basketball style to create a locker room feel, featuring the strapline ‘Dont leave them hanging which were inspired by the collectable basketball cards of the 1970s.

They will be given out when customers buy a paid of trainers from the Tigers basketball range, with showcards created for each trainer in the range.

The promotion also included a nationwide competition at Soletrader, featuring window vinyls, posters, showcards and swing tags, which offered customers the chance to win a trip for two to Dublin to watch the Harlem Globetrotters.
