Peter Gillespie, managing director of search.co.uk has left the company he founded just over two years ago.

It is thought that Gillespie maybe set to join rival company S1

Gillespie launched the online recruitment search company following his departure from now defunct Scottish radio station Talk107, which he oversaw from its launch in 2005 until his departure at the end of 2007.

Before that he had held the role of corporate sales and marketing director at Search Consultancy.

Gillespie's Linkedin page, updated 13 days ago, says: “Have now moved on from search.co.uk and relaxing at home and re-charging batteries before a new and exciting challenge begins in April!”

Search.co.uk has offices across Manchester, Glasgow, Leicester, Leeds, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Dundee, Aberdeen, Crawley and Dunfermline.

At the time of writing, The Drum was awaiting a phone call back from search.co.uk to find out their plans to appoint Gillespie's successor.
