The Scottish Government has launched a health campaign for Active Nation as part of its Commonwealth Games legacy for Scotland.

The PR campaign is being led by Consolidated, with a website having been developed by The Gate.

Consolidated has also handled the PR for the Active Nations Scottish Cup.

The launch of the campaign saw more than 120 people take park in Active Nation dance events across Scotland.

Clare Smith, senior PR manager at the Scottish Government, explained that the campaign aims to amplify the feel good factor of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and get Scots moving.

Smith added: “We want to encourage people to make lasting lifestyle changes which will improve both their own health and their family’s health. Active Nation builds on current health improvement strategies and will energise and motivate all Scots to increase their physical activity in the run up to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and beyond.”

Meanwhile, as revealed by The Drum earlier today, The Commonwealth Games logo for 2014 being design by Marque will be unveiled on Monday.
