John MacDougall, former divisional director of Faulds Advertising, has joined Merle to replace Giles Moffatt.

MacDougall, who has also worked at The Union and STV, will strengthen the agency’s Scottish Government team and will head up the Scottish Parliament Public Engagement campaign which the agency picked up last month.

Moffatt is understood to be working on a consultancy basis with Cello for the next three months before moving to join his family in London.

John Morgan, CEO of Merle (pictured), said, “I am delighted to add someone of John’s experience and capabilities to the team on Government and other roster work. He has been able to start work immediately on the Scottish Parliament which promises to be a delight to work on”

The brief for the Scottish Parliament follows on from merle’s appointment at the end of last year to handle the government’s Race campaign.

Morgan added, “We have strong team and intend to justify our place on the roster as often and as effectively as possible.”
