A preview of this year's The Main Event
The Drum talks to Máire Douglas from QD Events about event supplier conference The Main Event, which will include exhibition stands from event suppliers, some entertainment and the launch of this year’s Scottish Event Awards.
Douglas talks about what the events industry can expect from this year’s Main Event, including the Canape Contest, a pamper zone, a networking zone and a talk from Geoff Ellis of DF Concerts, organiser of T in the Park.
The Main Event will also be where this year’s Scottish Event Awards will be launched, and stand will be present to promote the awards. Visitors will also be asked to vote at the stand for their favorite exhibitors across a range of categories on the day, such as Best Stand or Best Giveaway. Awards will then be presented on the day, as part of the promotion of the Scottish Event Awards, entries for which will be accepted from 11 March.
The Main Event will take place on 11 March at the SECC, Glasgow from 9.30am – 5.30pm.
