VisitScotland is to procure for a single supplier for the provision of retail and merchandising services.

The tourism body is looking to appoint an agency to carry out the retail merchandising and stock display for the refurbishment of the information centre over a period of one or two days.

Another day’s merchandising and display of retail stock at around 25 smaller sites which are yet to be determined.

National marketing campaigns will be carried out which will include dressing and implementation at six larger information centres for campaigns such as Winter White.

Merchandising of various retail products and ranges alongside branded support material will also be carried out as will a full sire report showing before and after including photographs and tips for recreating displays in other centres.

On-site coaching during the set up of the campaign with the retail merchandising assistant/s and other staff within the centres will also be implemented.

It is estimated that half a day on the shop floor would be required at each centre.

Staff training will be carried out while visual merchandising manuals will be created as a guide and reference tool for information centre staff using the current basic retail merchandising guide as a starting point for the new manuals.

The manual will be printed and collated in-house by VisitScotland therefore no print costs are required.

There may be a requirement for additional merchandising services throughout the period of the contract, these would be discussed on a case by case basis.

Deadline for obtaining documentation is 3 March.
