Manchester digital agency Stardotstar has launched an iPhone application which claims to take the hassle out of parking.
The Nosey Parker app allows drivers to locate the nearest, cheapest or safest car park relative to their location.
It has a database of 13,400 UK car parks and is aimed at "business travellers, commuters, shoppers, parents or anyone who doesn't want to pay the earth for a parking space".
Stardotstar director Gareth Langley said: "Anyone who drives knows that parking can be really frustrating. If you’re new to a city you can waste time driving round for ages until you finally find a car park, only to discover you’ve parked in the most expensive one in town.
"The Nosey Parker database also contains information on car parks with parent and toddler spaces, disabled spaces and even car parks that accept credit cards, great if you don’t have a handful of coins on you.”
The app, available from the iTunes store, will cost £1.79 but has been launched with an introductory price of 59p until 28 February.
